Faber House bombings Series of bomb attacks which took place in the mid- 1980s at Faber House, an office block at the junction of Cairnhill and Orchard Roads. The largest occurred on Sunday 17 March 1985. No one was injured but damage to the building, owned by United Overseas Land, was estimated at $50,000.
It was suspected that the bomb was intended for the Israeli Embassy, which had its offices in the building, although the embassy itself denied receiving any bomb threats. The police and the Internal Security Department were unable to find the perpetrators.
